The strength of the stainless steel body starts with the subframe. Constructed from welded stainless steel tube, flat bar, angle and plate, this structure supports the entire body. The primary shape in the subframe is a 2” x 3” x 3/8” thick stainless steel tube, used for full width cross members and floor joists.
The 12 gauge stainless steel compartments, like the rest of the body, are laser cut and built on fixtures to assure accuracy. The upper body is framed with welded stainless steel tubing and then overlaid with 12 gauge stainless steel plate. This upper body structure gives the body additional strength and also creates a safe interior for crews to do their work.
