The Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department (AVFRD) in Ashburn, Virginia (Loudoun County) operates from two stations. AVFRD’s roster includes four Ferrara engines and a Ferrara tiller.

Both Stations 6 and 22 operate two engines – each fire house having a 2014 Ferrara Igniter and a 2016 similar model. Engines 606 and 622 are the 2014 models. Engines 606B and 622B operate with 2016 Igniters. All have 1500 gallon per minute pumps and hold 500 gallons of water and 20 gallons of foam.

Truck 606 operates from Station 6 and is Ferrara’s first tiller truck – a 2016 Ferrara Igniter 100’ tiller. The large compartment behind the cab is for extrication equipment. A new Ferrara Inferno 100’ mid mount platform with a 1500 gallon per minute pump is being built for AVFRD with a completion date in 2018.
